Hi There, I am Juls Buckman
After a career as a labor and delivery nurse, I left to focus on motherhood and the art of photography. I photographed my very first newborn in 1997 on a film camera, and I was hooked. I knew I had found my life’s calling, and in 2012 I had the joy of capturing portraits for my first grandchild.
I spent the next twenty years photographing newborns, both on-location and in my home. Finally, when my last child entered high school in 2017, I gathered together twenty years' worth of newborn props and opened my first studio here in Hendersonville.
My Main Street studio is a big hit with the families that trust me to capture one of a kind images of their newborns and babies. I would love to schedule you in for a complimentary consultation and a studio tour. We’ll look at the props, talk about my creative process, and plan a session to capture and create your heirlooms of tomorrow.

Julie is an amazing photographer and a pleasure to work with. A wonderful blend of professionalism and fun! Her studio is gorgeous and she knows how to capture the perfect lighting to create a one of kind image. -Amanda Vollrath
So good at what she does! She gets it!! (Understands and captures). If you want to capture and freeze some beautiful moments of you and loved ones, Juls is your gal. She will hands-down get that image that you’ll want hanging on your wall forever. (And make you smile remembering the photo session!!) -Toni Warren
I took my 3 year old daughter to Julie for an Easter Mini Session. What a wonderful experience! Right from the beginning Julie went out of her way to make my daughter feel comfortable with her and the picture taking process. I wasn't real sure how my daughter would do with having her pictures taken. But Julie went with the flow and pace of my 3 year old. She was so patient with her and of course the pictures turned out amazing! She captured my daughter's personality perfectly.
I highly recommend Julsbuckman Photography for not only the wonderful pictures but the experience as well! -Kelly Coin
